Military Community
As a U.S. military active duty member or family member stationed in South Korea, you may be facing unique challenges that can affect your mental and emotional well-being. From adjusting to a new culture and being away from loved ones to managing the demands of military life, these challenges can leave you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and disconnected.
We understand the difficulties you may be facing and are here to help. Our therapists have years of experience in supporting U.S. military active duty and family members, and have the skills and expertise to help you navigate the following challenges:
Frequent Moving and Adjusting: As exciting with every new move, it is also accompanied with the stress of transitions and settling in. Especially when family members are involved, every decision has a cascading effect.
Managing the Demands of Military Life: Military life can be demanding and stressful in a rigid system with minimal room for error.
Dealing with Trauma: Military service can expose individuals to traumatic events and experiences, and it's not uncommon for military members and their families to experience symptoms of trauma such as anxiety, depression, and nightmares.
Improving Relationships and Communication: Being away from home and frequent transitions can put a strain on relationships and contribute to further stress.
